Medical Director, Internal Medicine
Dr. Lalitha Vakkalanka is a MD trained in Internal Medicine. She graduated from a medical school in India and completed internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland/OR and residency in internal medicine at MLK Hospital in Los Angeles. For the past 20 years, her practice profile has primarily consisted of outpatient primary care while also having experience with hospital medicine. She has managed her own private practice in primary care and worked with major health care organizations (including the VA) in CA and OR. She has now joined the staff of Sunny Hills Medical Center and Urgent Care as Medical Director and Primary Care Provider. Her expertise is in preventative care for acute/chronic illnesses in adults, and in customized and lasting natural weight loss programs. Her passion lies in practicing “holistic” medicine wherein she combines using traditional practice of medicine with modalities such as meditation/yoga, diet, and exercise... She is fluent in English, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, and has knowledge of medical Spanish.

Mojgan Pedram, PA-C pursued her undergraduate studies in Radiology at UTHealth in Houston, Texas, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to graduate from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. Mojgan's has established her career in urgent care, where she specializes in caring for patients requiring acute care. As a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, she stays up-to-date with the latest developments in her field, ensuring she can provide the highest level of care to her patients.

Ashley Kim, PA-C graduated from USC Keck School of Medicine’s Primary Care Physician Assistant Program. Ashley is medically trained to treat and manage acute and chronic complaints in a primary care setting for both adults and children, with an emphasis on preventative care and patient education. When she's not involved in patient care, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis, trying new cuisines, and spending quality time with her family and corgis.

Sabrina Evanson, PA-C completed Chapman University's PA Studies Program earning a Masters of Medical Science. Her clinical rotations spanned LA and Orange County granting her experience working with a diverse patient population in both hospital-based and outpatient care settings. She is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space where patients feel comfortable voicing their concerns.
Physician Assistant
Neelam Patel completed her undergraduate studies at UC Riverside where she earned a BS in Biology. She then attended Keck Graduate Institute and received a Master of Science in Applied Life Sciences. Following, she graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences with an MS in Physician Assistant Studies. At SCUHS, she learned about integrative medicine and other modalities of treatment, including acupuncture, ayurveda, chiropractic, etc. Neelam hopes to use her knowledge in integrative medicine to improve the quality of care she provides for her patients. In her free time, Neelam enjoys traveling, painting, playing basketball, and exploring new food spots.
Medical Director, Child and Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Gudapati specializes in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry. She brings extensive training and continuing education in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders with pharmacology management. She has been in private practice since 1991. Born and raised in the southern part of India. Dr. Gudapati attended medical school at Osmania Medical College upon graduation she came to the United States to continue her studies. She did her residency in psychiatry at the University of Nebraska where she finished her general psychiatry training. She also attained her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Gudapati believes that there is always more to be learned and mastered.
Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Aiyer is a Double Board Certified and Licensed Physician in Adult Psychiatry. As he was born in England and grew up in Canada, he went back to the UK for medical school at University of Birmingham (Birmingham, England), one of the largest medical centers in the country. He then completed internship rotations in Psychiatry in South Thames (London) region, before deciding to move back to North America, New York City. He then completed his Psychiatry residency at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY, followed by completing a specialized ACGME fellowship in Pain Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Aiyer enjoys treating various and complex psychiatric conditions, with a focus on psychopharmacology and neuromodulation treatments, specifically transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

Dr. Shalaby is a clinical psychologist and trained neuropsychologist with over 8 years of experience in treatment and assessment of children and adults with a variety of psychological and neuropsychological disorders. He completed a two-year post-doctoral program specializing pediatric neuropsychology working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders to help identify their unique needs to provide recommendations to help compensate for cognitive and psychological difficulties and improve overall functioning. Therapeutically, he uses an eclectic style of treatment with a focus on developing and maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance in order to address active psychological distress, as well as the deeper concerns and established patterns of maladaptive behaviors that maintains core beliefs inhibiting individual growth or self-actualization. His focus in treatment is to meet my patients wherever they are and ensure they feel secure and comfortable in our relationship, so that they feel safe to explore the sensitive issues to make long standing changes to improve his or her ability to function in day-to-day life

Sandra Hayden is Licensed Clinical Social worker with a degree in Psychology and a Master in Social Work from Cal State Long Beach. She is a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapist and specializes in the area of trauma. With her years of experience she can give therapy to clients with post traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, low self esteem, relationships conflict, parenting, anger management, issues related grief and loss, life issues and employment stress.

Terry Maher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University Long Beach, and an MSW from University of Southern California with an emphasis on mental health services. He has experience providing: individual and group therapy with adults, therapy and behavior modification with at risk youth and their families, language and skill building with autistic children and developmentally disabled adults, vocational training with special education students, substance abuse counseling, therapy with the chronic and persistently mentally ill, as well as in home grief counseling with older adults. He has 12 years of experience working with families and adolescents in crisis.

Lynne Palmer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in adolescent and adult issues. She is a graduate from California State University, Fullerton and has Masters degree in Psychology from Chapman University with emphasis on marriage, family and child. She brings with her several years of counseling experience. She has rendered therapy and has addressed issues of domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual abuse and gender issues, anger management. Ms Palmer works on setting up goals with her clients and then helps them focus on those in her therapy sessions. She is very dedicated and guides the client to strive and reach for the set up goals.

Dr. Adams is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1985. She completed her clinical psychologist program at Fuller Seminary. Dr. Adams has been trained in the Mitchell Model for critical incident stress debriefing and has been called to respond to a crisis within 24 to 48 hours of the incident. Dr. Adams also received training in EMDR as an avenue to reducing strong feelings associated with experiencing a trauma. Dr. Adams sees clients ranging from age eight to the geriatric population. Typical treatment issues focus on reducing problematic symptoms associated with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, parenting issues, divorce and separation counseling, grief issues, sexual and physical abuse victims, and behavioral problems for children and teens.

A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has experience with individuals of all ages with disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective, Mood disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is a graduate with her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. She has experience working in an outpatient clinical setting as well as an inpatient level 12 group home for adolescent females. Megan focuses on the needs of each individual clients and recognizes that instilling hope and providing a safe environment for a client is essential for a client to grow and develop.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Grant Clarke has worked in hospitals, outpatient programs, as well as private practice settings. He has helped many individuals over the past 17 years with mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. He has worked with individuals, couples, and families throughout my career. His goal with all of his clients is to help them be mentally healthy and the best version of themselves they can be. He uses mindful therapeutic strategies with an approach that is integrative, primarily utilizing CBT-based and strength-based interventions. Grant seeks a collaborative therapeutic approach with clients to facilitate emotional and mental well- being, balance, growth, and internal stability. He uses an approach that emphasizes each client’s treatment interventions according to his or her personal needs to support each person individually in their healing process. He provides a safe and healing environment in therapy in which individuals can talk about their challenges and benefit from a supportive and healing relationship.

Erica Chavez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. As a therapist, her goal is to collaboratively work with you and empower you to overcome personal obstacles and improve your overall sense of wellbeing. Appolonia Olumba is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She attended Azusa Pacific University for her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. California State University Dominguez Hills for her Master of Science in Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner, and National University for her post graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Appolonia has a wealth of knowledge in patient care over the years in both medical and mental health care. She works as a PCMH primary care provider in outpatient internal medicine clinic with the Los Angeles County DHS acute care network (ACN). As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she has helped patients with multiple mental illness diagnosis, to overcome their mental health challenges, and able to function in their full capacities in the society, and maintain their wellness as well as their well-being.

Anthony Hines is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and graduate of Midwestern State University in Texas. His background includes working with diverse populations of all ages and experience in treating depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, eating disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorder. As a provider, his focus is to help individuals achieve their goals by respecting and meeting their needs through collaborative care and client education.

Chinyere (fondly called Chi-Chi) Obakhume is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on advanced practice psychiatry from Azusa Pacific University. She has extensive inpatient nursing skills, outpatient, and extended care facilities mental health care skills as PMHNP.
She sees individuals suffering from anxiety disorders, mood/depressive disorders, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, and insomnia, for ages 6+ and above. She respectfully listens to her patients and develop mutually agreed plans/interventions to get them to their best functioning level achievable, as she sees her patients as partners in their journey of recovery.
